All eCommerce sites involve selling. The ability to compare 2 or more
products side-by-side is an important feature for any eCommerce
software. StoreSuite includes a neat product comparison engine that can
be used to compare, sort and dynamically remove products from the
comparison table as needed.
The product comparison wizard can be accessed from 3 places: the search results page, the categories page, or the "You Recently Viewed..." products panel, like so:

As you can see, you simply tick 2 or more check boxes and then click the "Compare Selected" button, which will present you with a complete comparison engine that looks like this:

You'll notice the "Remove" links at the top of each row. If you decide that one of the products doesn't meet your comparison criteria you can simply click "Remove" and it will be removed from the comparison using AJAX i.e. without a page reload.
The columns that appear blue and underlined provide one-click sorting for products displayed in the comparison table. If the product contains reviews you will see how many and there's a direct link to read the reviews.
We're still working on the comparison wizard but so far I'm happy with it.

Very Nice!
One thought for the Brand pages. Could the brand pages have an image and description (i guess brands are like authors in AL).
Brand page would have:
Image
Description
Option of having Average Product Rating or reviews
List of products
Email this brand (like email this author)
This will allow an indie bookstore to have authors as brands - and provide information and interaction with the authors... or record company... can have artists as brands... and provide interaction with artists... BIG plus...
