This week we're working on quite a few finishing touches to StoreSuite, with one of them being statistics and reporting. After the large number of replies to my last post (which were kept private, but thank you to everyone who commented) we now have a clear understanding of how stats should be done.

I wont be talking too much about statistics and reporting because it's come to my attention that quite a few of our competitors read this blog and I don't want to give them too much of a jump start with regards to copying StoreSuite's features, but I will mention that StoreSuite will have 2 ways to generate reports. The first is via the ability to export customers, orders and products using the advanced search method which lets you filter on one or more variables. You can get the data into Excel and run queries, build charts, etc.

For those that like visual statistics, there will be a myriad of useful charts (such as the overview chart shown above which charts orders, unique visitors and conversion rates over time) which will help you see how your shop is performing on a number of levels.

I personally will be working on statistics and reporting for the reset of the week. We're also working on backups (local and off-site), database optimization, etc. Chris B will be posting a blog later today demonstrating the local and remote backup options that are unique to StoreSuite, so stay tuned for that.
