As we ease closer and closer to the first official release of Interspire Shopping Cart, it obviously gets more stable. The beta has been extremely stable so far, and while we're working on bugs I'm also building a complete addon framework. The first addon we've created is the Google AdWords generator.

The Google AdWords generator automatically creates customized Google AdWords ads for all/any products in your store. You can choose which category of products you want to generate ads for, and you can completely customize the content of the ads with placeholders, as you can see below:


The "example ad" on the right updates in real time with a sample product (an iPod), so you can see exactly how your ads will look as you change the text. When you click "Export" the ads are created and you can download them to a CSV file. All of the placeholders in your ad (such as {PRODPRICE} for the product's price) are replaced for each product and you end up with a spreadsheet full of automatically generated ads which you can import into your Google AdWords account.

I wont talk too much more about the addons, but Interspire Shopping Cart has a complete framework for not only us to build addons, but also for anyone else. Addons will be integrated into the control panel much the same way templates are, so you can download new addons as they become available directly from inside the software and don't have to fiddle around with copying files/folders.

We'll also be posting an update on the beta in a few days, so keep an eye out for that post. So far the feedback from our beta testers has been extremely positive - most in fact are asking when they can start rolling out Interspire Shopping Cart to their dozens of customers, and I'm recommending waiting until the first official release, just in case there are a few bugs that we haven't found yet.
