Integrating ActiveKB into Your Store

So far we've integrated SendStudio, TrackPoint and now ActiveKB (our FAQ and knowledge base software) into
Interspire Shopping Cart. In this article I'll show you how easy it is
to add a complete FAQ system to your shopping web site in about 2
minutes.
The first thing you need to do, as per the screenshot below, is tell Interspire Shopping Cart the URL to where you have ActiveKB installed. It can be on any server, however if you want to integrate ActiveKB's Active Response System into a contact page in your store, it needs to be on the same server as where you shop is.

The detailed instructions provided explain how to configure ActiveKB so that it looks exactly the same as your store:

Basically you login to your ActiveKB control panel, change the template to "embedded" and change the template's link to your store's template. You can then integrate ActiveKB into your store in two ways:
At the moment Interspire Shopping Cart integrates with SendStudio for email marketing, with TrackPoint for analytics tracking, and with ActiveKB for an integrated FAQ system, as well as other third party systems such Google AdWords and Analytics, Yahoo Search Marketing, etc. We've built (and will continue to build) not only shopping cart software, but also a complete marketing suite around it by making all of our products (and lots of third party services) integratable right out of the box.

- As a link directly from your store's navigation menu. I simply create a new web page from the control panel and tell it to link to my copy of ActiveKB, which looks *exactly* the same as my store:

- Directly into one/more contact forms. When I create a web page in Interspire Shopping Cart's control panel, I can create a contact form which will automatically email me the content of a custom form whose fields I can choose. From the Settings -> ActiveKB Settings page, I can choose to integrate ActiveKB's Active Response System into any contact form(s) on my site that I like:

... and now when someone starts filling out the contact form(s) on my site for which I've enabled ActiveKB's Active Response System, they will see answers to their questions popup automatically as they type. These answers are being pulled directly from ActiveKB (in this example, from our own Interspire.com knowledge base):

This is a great addition!
- Multiple Site Integration?
- Email Management Next? (similar to cerberus or kayako since you have the foundation?)

Another great feature could be to show most asked questions on specific products.
So when you were looking at a flatscreen on a productpage, you would then automatically be shown often asked questions and answers to flatscreens.
And on check-out pages you would automatically be shown check-out related question and answers suchs as shipping rates, return policy etc.
