I've just put together a quick video showing how brands work in
StoreSuite. They can be listed in a standard format or as a tag cloud
on the brands page. How brands are displayed will of course be
configurable from the settings page in the StoreSuite control panel.

Love it all so far - love the tag clouds love the layout; Looks very user friendly. Two questions.
Will this be Free? Open source? also will this Connect with CCBill.com ?? if so that would be lovely - CCBill, OR PureVanilla.com since those are two payment processors that I currently use.
Thanks - i'm on the beta list, looking forward to testing it out.
[From Mitch: Hi Al. No, StoreSuite wont be free. It will be a commercially licensed Interspire product. We haven't decided on pricing or which payment gateways to ingrate with yet but CCBill are popular so I'll get them on the list!]

This looks great. Question, is the tag cloud randomly generated or fixed? Can rules be set for prominence, font size, etc? I am in the video business and we have "shelf space" marketing requirements we have to abide by. Thanks
[From Mitch: Hi Ryc. It's dynamically generated from the brands and products table: the more products that are linked to a brand, the bigger the brand is. The size and color of tags are easily modifiable within the stylesheet.]

Looks good. About the urls. How much can you custom them? Would it be able to work like wordpress? Everybody has their own ideas on how they want to build the proper urls.
For instance I use the format mydomain.com/brands/my-product/
And some may use mydomain.com/category/subcategory/my-product/
Also will multi-language be supported? Also in SEO where you could either use subdomains: en.mydomain.com or mydomain.com/en/brands/ etc.
Looking forward to a release, or beta release so I can try it out and give some feedback!
[From Mitch: Hi John. The URL's are customizable, but by default they are setup to what we feel are the most SEO friendly, that is:
Categories: http://www.yourshop.com/categories/Clothing/
Subcategory:
http://www.yourshop.com/categories/Clothing/Mens/
Brands:
http://www.yourshop.com/brands/
A single brand:
http://www.yourshop.com/categories/brands/Canon/
Same for products:
http://beta/storesuite_mitch/products/The-Simpsons-Season-1-DVD.html
All very SEO friendly along with meta data, page titles and on-page optimization by default.]

Will I have to pay per store if I get this when it comes out?
[From Mitch: Hi Mike. Yes, StoreSuite will have a similar licensing structure to ArticleLive: installed on a per-site basis and licensed the same way.]
